I can not find the right words to convey how sorry I am that you all have to go on with your lives without Kathy. I know how important and supportive you all were to her. People like Kathy are rare. She embraced her family. her friends and her patients with her whole heart. She approached life with such a positive attitude. Kathy always looked for the good in people. I feel so blessed to have been Kathy's friend. She shared her work and her family with me. I will miss her more than words can describe. I will be forever grateful to you all for keeping me up to date. When I spoke with Kathy, when she was in Norwich, she sounded so tired. I find some comfort in knowing that she is finally able to get the rest she so much deserves.

I was stunned and very saddened to learn of Kathy's passing. I was the Diet Tech at The Hospital, not a nurse, but did work with her. It was always a good day when Kathy was on duty. She may have been the 1st nurse to warn me about saying the word "quiet" on a Friday!!
She was a wonderful & caring person for all. Her story of how she worked at her nursing education in steps was inspirational and I often wondered if more nurses shouldn't follow that pattern.
Kathy will be dearly missed by many. My heart goes out to the family at this time.
