To the Mulkins Family:
How amazing it was to grow up in a community of so many men involved in nurturing young children. Paul remembers their father's being in the mason's together, and I remember him as a neighbor just up the street from us and playing at the house with Patti. He was such a presence in the fire department, too. Following us and supporting band trips. We had a wonderful childhood because of men like him in the community.
Please know we are saddened with you, and want you to know many are thinking of you during this time.

Dear Helen, Lois, Barb, Ruth and Patti
Hugs to you all. George was such a nice man. He was always very welcoming and a good influence during my childhood and teens, from church and Sunday school to scouting. I always felt safe when we would take our Explorer trips with him at the helm.
George has earned his wings.

George and my father Norm were high school classmates ('50) at Oneonta and after being at Scintilla together in the early 1960s, eventually took different paths. I had a chance encounter with George several years ago, listening in amazement of their common ground younger days.
Everyone should know that George owned a couple of patents...his ingenuity was most impressive....though he never called attention to it.
May I extend my sympathies to the Mulkins family on your loss and please accept them on behalf of my dad as well.

My condolences to the Mulkins family. Mrs. Helen, may it help you to know that God never causes what is wicked. "It is unthinkable for the true God to act wickedly, for the Almighty to do wrong". (Job 34:10) God has a loving purpose for us. That is why Jesus taught us to pray "our Father in the heavens, let...your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth". God cares so deeply about us that in this kingdom, our loved one will be brought back to life to live peacefully, no more suffering. Please find some strength and comfort from this, in your difficult days ahead.
