Obituary of John F. Santic, III

John F. Santic, III Sidney Center, NY John F. Santic, III, "Buddy", 60, of Sidney Center, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. John was born on July 18, 1953, son of the late John Santic, Jr. and Dorothy (Williams) Santic in Sidney. He graduated from Sidney High School with the class of 1972 and spent his career working for the school as Supervisor of the Custodial Department. On July 19, 2003, John was married to Lorraine Perry in Sidney Center. John had two great loves in life: first and foremost was his family, whom he always put first. Second was his love of the outdoors; he had a passion for hunting and fishing and enjoyed camping and wildlife. He is survived by: His wife, Lorraine Santic, Sidney Center His mother, Dorothy Santic, Masonville 3 Daughters: Jackie and Jesse Lints, Sharon Springs, Jill and Vito Loungo, Sidney and Jamie Santic Innes, Wells Bridge Step-children: Emma Stewart, Michael Pitchford, Melissa Thompson, Josephine Fallon and Thomas O'Halloran Several grandchildren Brother, James and Susan Santic, Sidney Center 4 Sisters: Barbara and Steve Dombrowski, Masonville, Ruth Sloane, Sidney Center, Penny and Scott Coulter, Minnesota and Jean and Brian Stewart, Binghamton Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Other step-children: Wendy Johnson, Tammy Hillman, Tina French and Pam Brown John was predeceased by his father, John F. Santic, Jr. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 18th at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 139 West Main St. Sidney with Rev. Ernie Varga, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Hope Lodge Hospitality House, c/o Lorraine Santic, 296 Anderson Avenue Sidney Center, NY 13839.
