I remember Mrs. Elliott as a school aide and helping out in the cafeteria. She was the nicest, sweetest person to everyone. She treated all with the same respect and compassion. Years later she was my next door neighbor at Guilford Lake and I got to talk to her whenever she was around during the summer months. One day my friend was visiting and we were out on the dock. LaRue came over and talked and laughed with us. She was truely a sweet person always with a big smile. The world needed many more LaRue Elliots in it, for it would have been a much happier place.
