I am very sorry to learn of George's passing. I came to know George through the railroad where I was the General Chairman for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. He was a very pleasant man, quite and soft spoken. He spoke of farming and family and was often seen wearing a John Deer hat. He was well regarded by his fellow employees and had a reputation as an excellent locomotive engineer. It seems like yesterday when he retired. George will be missed by all who knew him.
My deepest sympathies to his family.

George was a good neighbor, always willing to lend a hand, would always stop to say hello whenever our paths would cross. Several years ago my tractor broke down in the middle of a field and George came over with one of his tractors and pulled me out. And whenever George was barbecuing, I was buying, no matter where or when.

My deepest condolences to George's family. During the time I knew him on the Railroad, you were most important to him. He was always telling storys of the grand kids & farming. He always helped me with tractor questions.. (or at the auctions "what are you bidding on") He will truly be missed
