Obituary of Ruth Marvel McGraw

Ruth M. McGraw Afton, NY Ruth Marvel McGraw of Afton died peacefully Wednesday, September 21, 2011. She was born in Greenfield, MA in 1930, to the late Annie and Lawrence Marvel. Ruth married John Francis McGraw of Holyoke, MA, in 1951. They were happily married for 31 years, Jack predeceased her in 1982. Ruth is survived by her six children and their spouses: Mugs and Sharon, Leslie, Allan and Kate, Michael and Melissa, Shane and Pam and Peggy. She delighted in her eighteen grandchildren and their partners and her seventeen great grandchildren. Her door, her garden and her coffee pot were always open to her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at Ruth's home 1494 State Highway 41 Afton, NY 13730 on Monday September 26, 2011 at 3:00 PM. The family will continue to receive friends from 4-7 PM that evening. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Afton Free Library P.O.
