Sad to hear of Charlotte's passing. I never saw her when she didn't have a smile and a kind word. Very special and sweet lady. Condolences to the family.

To Charolett's family, We are so sorry for your loss, she was one of a kind! We both knew her from Borden's. I (kathy) golfed and bowled with her on a league. We had a great time! Charlotte was the youngest older lady we ever knew. She was kind, funny and witty and will be missed by many. Please know we are thinking of you.

Charlotte was always a great friend to us and such an inspiration with her determination. She continued to do yoga with our class until a few months ago. We already miss her.

I was lucky to have know Charlotte in two ways. First, as one of the first female members of the Bowling Hall of Fame - she even showed me her charter membership card to the USWBA! The second was during the great run of teams for the Lady Bobcats basketball program. No one was more enthusiastic for the girls than Charlotte. It was as if they were all her granddaughters, and boy was she knowledgeable in the stats and game results. To all of the connected family members, my sincere condolences.

Charlotte was a great friend to me for many years, and I will miss her deeply. I had the pleasure of bowling with her for years, and had to "send her to the car" on many occasions. She was a great support to me , and I will miss her calls to see how I was doing, what I bowled that week and discussing how "our" Yankees were doing. I am Thank-full she got to live a good long life, and had such a nice family to enjoy that life with. She was a truly great Lady that I was proud to call my friend.

I send my sincere condolences to Charlotte's family and friends. She was a great friend to my Mom, Rose VanValkenburg, who passed on April 18, just 11 days before Charlotte. Both ladies were 95. When looking online at Rose's/Mom's obituary on The Evening Sun website, I saw Charlotte's name right above my Mom's obituary. It is beyond ironic because in my Mom's obituary we had included that Mom/Rose was survived by her lifelong friend, Charlotte Cole. They went to school together, worked as "girls" at Hanson's on Oquaga Lake, had great stories to tell from there, and shared other good times over the years. I had even called Charlotte on April 19 to tell her of my Mom's passing. Charlotte was a faithful friend to Mom/Rose even in the last two years. Her picture was on Mom's dresser. Within the last couple of years, I came with Mom/Rose to Bainbridge to take both ladies out to lunch. Another time, Mom/Rose and I picked Charlotte up in Bainbridge and brought her to Apalachin where Mom was living, and they again enjoyed lunch here at the Blue Dolphin. Mom and I then returned her to Bainbridge. Charlotte would call me often to check on Mom/Rose. I loved talking with her. I loved stopping to visit her at her home when I passed through Bainbridge. She was a wonderful caring woman and friend to Mom and me. I even bought a used car from her many years ago! I will miss her.
