Doris one the "rocks" of the Daily Mass Group at Sacred Heart Church. I remember Doris sat about 6 pews up from the back on the left hand side and had her prayer books too. I also remember my last conversation with Doris. It was during the basketball playoffs and we were all sitting around the Elks Lodge watching Syracuse play Connecticut. Doris loved her basketball and was watching intently but did take the time to fill me in on the grandchildren and their successes. We'll miss Doris as we miss the rest rest of her gang including Margaret and Mary Ann.

Our families go back over 45 years. We have some great memories. Doris always had a smile and a big hug whenever we met. She was a wonderful lady with lots of stories to tell and was always concerned about others. Her smile, her laugh and the love for her family and others will be greatly missed. She will be rewarded greatly in heaven.

Doris was a wonderful friend. She was always there during the good times and bad. We shared many special times together at the lodge, lunches and bus trips. She always had a smile and laugh to share with you. She loved her family very much.

I saw Doris on the Saturday before Easter. I was mailing Class reunion envelopes (Mike's was in there!) and even though she had the pneumonia grabbing at her, she was STILL dressed well and presentable. I never saw her any other way.
As the parent of one of my classmates, Doris was a birthday host for Mike's parties in elementary school, but later became a great friend. How she held that widow's group together with activities and friendship. I was always amazed at her public and spiritual presence.
Condolences to Mike & Patti from the Davie family. We will miss her at Sacred Heart.

I worked with Doris many years through the NBT Sidney Bank and always enjoyed talking with her. She was a sweet, friendly person and will be dearly missed. Please accept my sincere sympathy in her passing.

mike and patty so sorry to hear about your mom. i too just saw her lately and she appeared ok to me but you guys know how our parents try to hide things from us. they dont want us to worry. i just went thru the same last summer losing my dad and its never easy whether you know its coming or not. ill always remember your mom and mrs. jester down at the lodge or where ever it was and having a lot of laughs and teasing them. well, now that i think about it. i dont know who was picking on who! mrs. d.will be missed very much. my dear old friends from riverside i hope the best for you and your families and i will never forget you. love you guys, rob
