We are so saddened by this news. Dave remembers Gladys very fondly. Gladys was the backbone of the guidance department forever. Gladys and Dave worked together at SHS for years and David would love to be able to visit and reminisce with all the family, friends and fellow co-workers but, unfortunely, we are heading out of town today and will not be able to attend the funeral.

I remember my first couple years teaching at Sidney High School. Gladys was in the guidance office then and a huge help for a green teacher. Also, our families were close and I remember being at parties as a young child and all the laughter that was around...I love you, Joyce.

We got to know Gladys through Mary & Joe when she visited in Raleigh. We also were fortunate enough to bring her to North Carolina on one of our excursions. What a wonderful lady! We thoroughly enjoyed having her as a passenger and getting to know her a little better. Go with God, Gladys! Love....Joe & Cheryl

Alex, Joyce, Mary and Jean; I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I just shared with Joyce's son and daughter at a wedding in September the fun times at your house during high school and after. I can remember your mom's laughter, smile and look of "OK Paul, it's time for you to go home." She was a wonderful, gracious person. My thoughts are with you. Paul

Dear Mary, Alex (Sandy), Joyce, and Jean.
I was so sorry to read of your mother's passing in the Tri Town News. I tried to call her several times over the past month. She and my Mom had wonderful times together! My Mom passed on Dec. 11th. I wanted to let her know. They used to celebrate first Fri. Masses together for so many years... (topped off with coffee or tea at McDonalds)Friends till the end! Love to all of you, Cathy

Gladys was a standout in so many ways. Her quick wit, caring heart, and genuineness made her very special. I only worked with Gladys for one year..my first as a guidance counselor. She was a special person in many, many ways.
Gladys was a believer. May she rest in peace.
