Tom and Sherry were my next-door neighbors on Edgewood Drive when I first lived in Sidney. I remember that Tom walked around the neighborhood every night before he went to bed to make sure everything was as it should be. He did what needed to be done whether anyone noticed or not. He will be greatly missed.

so sorry to read of Tom's passing. I remember him from when they use to live on East Main Street in Sidney. he was such a very quite one. Then I meet him again at the Fire Hall. And he still was a quite one but got things done. He will be missed by many. RIP Tom.

Tom was my classmate in the Class of 1970. The thing that I will always remember about him was his big, friendly smile. Any time that I ran into him at the Civic Center, he always greeted me with that big smile. He was such a kind, gentle man. I am so very sorry that he has gone too soon. Tom was always “Carole’s older brother” to me until we were parents of similar age daughters; then we were “dads”. Also, Tom & I had a running gag at the Civic Center - he loved country music and had WHWK playing on the PA system so I’d sneak in and switch it to WCDO…this went on for years. We laughed about it.

Tom has been a great boss and a very good friend for many years. I spent 38 years in the fire department and 20 years in the village with Tom as my boss for many of those years. Tom was responsible for getting me hired in the village. He will be sorely missed.
