I knew Skip years ago when I lived in Afton. He was a great guy, with a great personality. I lost touch with him when I left the area. My mom (Mickey Briggs) knew him from St. Paul's and commented what a nice "young man" he was! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

When "Walter" came to Sidney in the early 1970s, he was definitely a wild kid "from the city". Within a few years, he became "Skip", a guy you could easily be friends with and who cared for his family more than anyone.
He spearheaded an after-prom party with tremendous vigor one year, including coming on WCDO to promote it.
We will miss this devoted Sidney sports & community fan. To Pat & the boys, my sincere condolences. Skip will be missed, yet he'll always be remembered with spirit and a chuckle for his great sense of humor.

Pat, Sean,Scott and families,
So sorry to hear about Skip. Our whole family has fond memories of him. Dave mentioned how he always greeted us at the door and took care of coats with a big smile and maybe a joke, etc. He made family get togethers really special, including watching football downstairs! We plan to attend his services.

Pat and Boys: I was so sorry to read of Skip's passing. I so enjoyed working with Skip all the years that I did. He was always the same, always a smile and talkative. His head was a fountain of knowledge and we always knew who to ask if we could not remember someones name, or the name of a song, or what a certain sports team had done. We were the only Mets fans in the dept. and took our share of ribbing. He is in God's embrace now and no more suffering. May God Bless and keep you and the Boys, and may all the wonderful memories sustain you.
