I just saw this and many memories flooded back of growing up in the house between the Eglis and the Laraways. I spent a lot of time at the Eglis as a child. I remember when they put the addition on their house. Ellen was fiercely protective of her family. I was yelled at by her more than once in those childhood days. She was also always a good hostess and in some ways, like another mother. I never knew that she was only 3 months older than my mom. I pray for her peace and for comfort for the children I grew up with. God bless all of you.

The last of our Egli relatives of that generation to pass, my Aunt Ellen was a focal point of the family for so many years. Spent a lot of time at that ranch house on Mt. Moses with my 4 cousins. Goodbye Aunt Ellen, and say hello to the others for us all.

The sweetest lady with an edge that let you know she was not a pushover. That’s how I always thought of Mrs. Egli. As a sports announcer on WCDO for many years I enjoyed knowing she made sure Egli Machine was a sponsor and that she listened intently!
