Obituary of Darren R. Oswald

Darren R. Oswald Afton, NY Darren passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday morning, April 26, 2018. He was born on April 15, 1960, son of Keith and Virginia Oswald in Camden, NJ. Surviving are: his wife of nearly 33 years Kathy; 3 children: Stefanie, Melissa (fiancé Jacob Snyder) and Cameron. Also surviving are his father and mother-in-law, Sam and Elma Costello; mother, Virginia Oswald; brothers, Shawn and Scott and sisters, Dawn, Sherry, Colleen and Shannon. He was predeceased by his father and grandparents. Darren worked at the U.S. Post Office in Binghamton for 29 years and made so many wonderful friends who all held a special place in his heart. Darren had a great sense of humor and needed that laughter through all of his health struggles. He was so strong and never stopped fighting. He was one of the kindest people anyone could ever wish to meet, setting the best example for his family on how to live a good life. He will live on in our hearts and in our minds. Until we meet again..."For he who calls on the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. Friends may call from 12:00-2:00pm on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Afton.
