God rest your soul my old pitching buddy from high school. I had lost contact with you after high school but did keep base periodically with other family members since. I am deeply sorry for his passing and pray God takes care of him.His self conduct was admirable and I will remember him that way

I’m still in shock after Scott informed me of Darren’s passing. Darren and I lost touch after Darren left LBI so many years ago but Darren and I were inseparable from the first time he struck me out in Little League until he left. Darren was one of the most honorable persons I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I truly looked up to him from the first time I met him and he always helped keep me on course. My condolences go out to his wonderful mom and siblings who always made me feel part of the Oswald family. Unfortunately, I never had the honor of meeting Darren’s children but I know in my heart they must be wonderful and I’m sure Darren was so proud. I’m so sorry I could not be there to celebrate Darren’s with you all but circumstances just didn’t allow. May peace be with you all!

My deepest condolences to Kathy and family. I worked with Darren for 24 years and always knew him to be a kind, generous, courageous man. I haven’t seen him much since I retired, but always looked forward to golfing with him in the P.O. MDA tournament. He will be missed. Again, sorry for your loss.

Sending my love to the Oswald family. I grew up playing ball with Darren and his brothers Shawn and Scott, and always marveled at his athletic skills, and humble personality. He was a giant amongst us all as kids, and eventually young men. Man, he could crush a baseball, and make it look easy! Farewell old friend.

Darren and Shawn were friends of mine in 1971 and 1972 we were in the same little league team, because of Darren we won the Long Beach island title 2 straight years, funniest times of my life !!!
