To Phyllis and family:
Even though it is January 13, 2018 we just heard today from Bill Butler about Mike's passing. We had no idea that he was so ill and we are deeply sorry that he is gone.
Phyllis...our thoughts and prayers are especially with you at this time. Lynn and I are very aware of what Mike (and you) must have gone through as Lynn's Dad died of the same exact problem. May Mike rest in peace and may you know the comfort of God, family and friends!

Mr. Winn (because you always call your friends' parents Mr or Mrs even when you 'grow up') was at every concert, game or school event. At least, I don't remember him not being there. We saw him marching with other veterans in the parades, and helping others in the community. How fortunate we were to have an example to look up to. Hugh and Mike - I'm so very sorry for the loss of your father. It's never easy to say goodbye, and saying goodbye before Christmas is even tougher. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom, and the rest of your family.

Phyllis, Hugh, Mike and your entire extended family-The passing of such a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandpa is never easy. There are so many of us who are sharing this loss with you, and hoping the love shared between you all and the community offers you some comfort. I don't remember a memorial day parade without Mike proudly marching. He was often one of the first to get to us when a call went out for help from the garage, and he had a way with all our drivers, He used to joke about walking home after dropping off a truck in town, and someone always was offering him a ride back to the garage. We hope you hear about many more memories and stories others have to tell about Mike, and that it brings you some comfort, knowing how many lives he touched. We are thinking of you all.

I rarely saw Mike, but each time I did, he asked about my dad who was friends with him and his dad. And that after decades of not seeing him!
Pancreatic cancer is so terrible. Mike was a warrior in fighting it. Such a great person who helped so many.
