David, Although it has been many years,I still have fond memories of your Mom. Spending time on the corner of Kirby and Bixby streets under her watchful eye was a memorable part of growing up in Bainbridge. My condolences to you and your family.

David and family; please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your mother. Unfortunately I just read her obituary since we were out of town over the holidays otherwise I would have attended her funeral. I had the pleasure of teaching with your mom and served on a number of school committees with her. She was a credit to the profession and a superb teacher. I know she provided me with some valuable lessons especially when I was younger and sort of a rebel when it came to dealing with the start of school unions and negotiations. She was the voice of reason but solid as a rock when it came to support. Never intimidated or feint of heart when things got sticky.I would have liked to have seen you but under different circumstances. We spent alot of time together on the court if you recall!!!

Mrs. Hohreiter was my second grade teacher for half the year; she welcomed her beloved son David during the second half. She was an educator who provided a firm foundation for her early learners. Many years later, my parents shared the house on Kirby street as her tenants. When I visited, I would always look for her on the side porch. By then, I, too, had joined the profession, so our conversations had a shared quality. Mrs. Hohreiter was one of my life's treasures. Please accept my condolences.

David and family. I lived across from your Mom from 1978 until she moved. I always missed sitting on her porch and visiting. I'm sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful woman.
