Sorry that I will not be able to attend Joe's funeral but would like to express my condolences to the family. Joe and I graduated together and worked at NYSEG together from time to time. Joe was a decent man with good values and will be missed. May GOD give you all peace and comfort at this time.

I was very sorry to learn of Joe's death. He was a real asset to our community and an individual who always worked for the betterment of the organization that he represented and our community in general. Sidney is a better place because of the dedication and hard work of people like Joe. His family can be very proud of the legacy that he has left.

Joe, you were an amazing man. When I was growing up in school you were the man I wanted to be like. You not only worked for the power company but you were also in the fire department. After college I became an electrician and joined the fire department where I learned so much from you.
It was an honor to serve as your assistant chief and then still have you to turn to for advice when I became chief. We went through some sad times together but then got to enjoy the good times. Rest in peace my friend.

Our condolences go out to Kevin, Tamara and Dan Maddalone as we know Joe will be missed by each of the three. Joe was very much about family, but also to those in the entire Sidney community where his heart could be manifested by the many aspects of his public service while living in Sidney. His Sidney pride was forever evident. May the grief the family feels today and in the days ahead diminish in knowing that Joe will be remembered for all the good he has done.

Another example of service-oriented individuals has earned his wings. Joe was the kind of guy who stood firm in his beliefs, made himself available to others and kept family a priority.
We all thank Joe for his volunteerism and pride in community. Turns out he was two years behind my mother at Oneonta High, so that's cool.
Please accept collective sympathies from the Davie family.
