Doris was my neighbor the entire time I lived in Sidney. She always had a good word for all of us kids on Pleasant St. she was always welling to let us come in and try to play the piano, she was a real lady and is a great loss, one more good person off my Christmas card list, way to too soon. My prayers are for her

I had Miss Howe as my second grade at South Broad St. School in Norwich. She provided with a lifelong lesson on the playground. I was picking on another second grader for wearing glasses when Miss Howe took me aside and very nicely told me how unkind what I was doing. Someday I might have to wear glasses, to my dismay it was but a few short years when I was told I had to "YES" wear glassed. I am now 73years old an remember like it was yesterday. Miss Howe was born to be a teacher.
Later in life Karen Stoddard became our organist at First Baptist in Norwich so became aquainted with Miss Howe again, what a wonderful lady, who lived a wonderful full life.
