Obituary of Imogene V. Hover

Imogene (Walton) Daniel Hover Bainbridge, NY Imogene (Walton) Daniels Hover of Bainbridge, NY, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 A.O. Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta, NY. Imogene was born in Oneonta to the late Charles and Annabelle (Freeman) Walton on March 26, 1919. Imogene is survived by her daughter, Elma (Raymond) Taylor, East Guilford Grandchildren, Raymond Taylor, Jr. (Kathy), Dublin, OH, Randy L. Taylor (Penny), Webster, NY, Jane McCollough, League City, TX, William Daniels III (Pam), Midlothian, TX, Sharon Meyer (William), Bainbridge, NY, Jerry Hillman (Debbie), Jacksonville, FL; and 9 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. Brother, Richard Walton (Betty), Gilbertsville, NY. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Daniels; sons, William Daniels and Adrian Daniels; husband, Kenneth Hover; sisters, Gertrude Holdridge, Mary Musson, and Violet Youngs; and brother, Charles Walton, Jr. and sister-in-law Betty Walton. Together with her Husband, Ken they ran Ken's Diner in Sidney. She also worked for many years at Logan and Sons Grocery in Sidney. Imogene was a very caring and active person, always there to help people in need and never expecting anything in return. While raising her children, Imogene was just another one of the kids, always swimming, playing ball, or any other game her children were playing. Imogene especially loved playing cards. She taught all her grandchildren to play as soon as they were able and kept playing until days before her passing. She and Ken also loved to square dance and loved to teach others how to dance. Imogene and Ken enjoyed camping and traveling, including trips on their motorcycle to New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, and Canada. She was a great Mom, Grandmother, and friend to all she met. She will be missed. Friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney, NY. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Reverend Patty Wolff of East Guilford Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Hillington Cemetery, Morris, NY.
