Sending our sincere sympathies in the loss of Mr. Deering. He was my mom's next door neighbor at the Vets Home, and we so enjoyed chatting with him. His knowledge and willingness to share were so appreciated. My daughter, who holds BS degrees in Anthropology and History truly loved chatting with him, and his writings. Another of the Great Generation is gone. Thank you for sharing him with us. Rest in Peace, Mr. Deering, your work on Earth is done.

I am very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a very kind man. I am so glad I had the honor to know him. He always had interesting stories to share with me. So much love for his wife who had died before I met him. He was so proud of his daughter & son & his grandchildren. He was very loving to his cats & the stray cats that came on his porch for food. My sincere sympathy goes out to his family & friends. He was a classy gentleman.
