I was just thinking of Sam today as I am preparing a Karate seminar for Nov. I googled his name and found his obituary only a few weeks after his passing on to Heaven. I trained in GoJu Ryo Karate with Sam for several years. He would pick me up as a teenager to get me to class. I always found Sam to be very thoughtful and kind. May God Bless all of your family and I hope and pray that you are all comforted to know that Sam is with God now in glory through his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

In the early days of St. Luke's, many friendships were made with families sharing activities and fellowship. The Schroeders and Davies went camping and I can also recall Sam & Betty hosting the annual congregational picnic.
Alan and Dan joined us in Scout Troop 99 when St. Luke's was the charter sponsor. Many a camporee...nature hikes, etc.
Sam's daily walk into Hale's will be my most vivid memory. 2 miles both ways into his 70s was impressive.

Betty, Dan & Alan,
My sincere condolences at the passing of Sam. What a wonderful man he was and always a ray of sunshine on Sunday mornings during church. He is now in the arms of the Lord and will be keeping track of us all until we meet again.
