Carolyn-My beloved sister and friend, I will miss you with all my heart. You were my first and best friend, always holding my hand. Oh, Carolyn. I am sorry I could not say goodbye to you...I hope you're listening on Saturday. I always secretly wished that I had a mother like you: easy-going, non-judgmental, funny (like REALLY funny!), empathetic, welcoming, tough, generous, and DEDICATED. The list, as your family & friends know, goes on and on yet I believe that dedicated is the best fitting. Every time Jessie, me, or anyone needed you - there you were.
I am incredibly sorry that this awful 'c' word got the best of you...but my oh my how you put up one hell of a fight; how lucky your family is to have gained such a gracious guardian Angel.
