Barney,
I am going to miss you deeply. You had a great sense of humor and a devilish glint in your eye. You were always there to listen and help whenever needed. You were a man to look up to. You were a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.
Love you, Brother.

Joyce and Family - thinking of you all as you mourn the passing of an incredible man, and hoping you all continue to celebrate his life. I'll always remember him as a strong family man, who was kind and generous. Uncle Barney was quick with a story or a joke, and he enjoyed a good laugh, even at his own expense! Thank you, Uncle Barney, you set a good example for all of us! We'll miss you!
With much love, Peace and Prayers,
Joe, Erin, Hannah & Caleb Mills

"Hoomie-Joomie" - or something like that - was the magic phrase Barney used to catch that last card. Every time I played with him, the guy seemed to always leave a little richer.
Always entertaining, never in a hurry. That's the Roger Barnes I knew. As a classmate of two of his children, it hits even harder. My sympathies to you all.
I think he caught that last card for a Royal flush.

Wishing our sincere condolences to all of the Barnes family. Barney has always been a source of fun and happy memories for us. He was a good man and a good father. One day we will join him for a beer, fresh clams, and BBQ chicken at the great neighborhood clam bake in heaven.

Jean, Mark, Tim, Allison & Lisa,
My deepest condolences. Although time and miles have grown between us, our families have ties that go way back. The two "Barneys" as firemen together is one of my old memories. I know I rode on plenty of School buses with your dad at the helm. Mom and dad both always talked so fondly of Barney. May God Bless and give you all strength during these times.
