Obituary of Bonnie Lea Thomas

Bonnie Lea Thomas Bainbridge, NY Bonnie Lea Thomas, 49 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her mother Beverley Houck. She is survived by her four daughters and their spouses; Jessica and Aaron Hacker, Erica and Brian Mister, Rebecca Thomas and Craig Freier and Jerica Thomas and Michael Sporer; her seven grandchildren who she loved more than anything: Tayler,Ian, Rileigh, Aaron Jr, Laila, Peyton and soon to be Alexandria. Her father Edwin Houck and special friend Betsy Murray, her siblings Edwin and Lynette Houck, Debbie Meyers, Guy Houck and Bobbie Jo Houck, and several nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles and Friends. Bonnie was one of a kind and a friend to everyone. She loved you no matter your faults and always had time to listen or help. Family and Friends were Bonnie's priority in life and she was the type of person who would give you her last dollar if you needed it more than she did. Bonnie loved the Lord and studied his words often; she loved the color yellow and was known for her cleanliness and cooking skills. Bonnie lived by the motto, “I tell the truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God"! She grew up in Guilford, NY and loved the freedom of growing up in such a small town, she lived her adult life in Bainbridge, NY where she married twice, first to Edward Heil Jr and had Jessica and Erica and then later on married Tim Thomas and had Rebecca and Jerica. Everywhere Bonnie went she spoke about how much she loved her girls and how special they each were, she had no problem bragging about them and her grandchildren. She was a great mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. No one could light up a room like Bonnie or make you laugh more. Friends are invited to call from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838.
