Dorothy J. Pierce
SIDNEY – Dorothy J. Pierce, 75 of Sidney passed away on July 14, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica, NY after a long illness. She was born in Patterson, NJ on June 19, 1940. She married Joseph H Pierce on April 5th, 1958.
She is Survived by her husband Joseph H. Pierce, Her sisters Mary and William Sprague, Lynn and Bill Rood. Brother in law George and Noreen Pierce, sisters in law Georgette Pierce and Jane Pierce.
Children and Spouses: Bonnie and Edward Chase, James and Mary Pierce, Diana and James Hayes, William Pierce and girlfriend Lorraine Foster.
Grandchildren: Jessica and Chris DeRouche – Chase, Edward and Sarah Chase, Joshua Chase, Sherri Chase, Joseph Chase and girlfriend Rachel Monday. Steven and Amy Hayes, Andrew Hayes, Brittany Hayes, Jorge Roberts and Fiancée Kayla Seely, CJ Hayes, Christina Hayes, Nia Borden. Wesley Pierce, Connor Pierce, LeeAnn Meyerhoff, Kaylene Pierce, Marissa Foster, Liam Pierce.
Great Grandchild: Michael Chase, Gabby DeRouche-Chase, Riley DeRouche- Chase, Kelsey Chase, Zachery Chase, Cassidey Chase, Kourtney Chase, Skyler Chase, Ryan Monday, Paige Chase, Aubrey Roberts, Wade Garrison, Gracie Garrison, Emily Garrison; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Dorothy Walker, her 2 brothers John Walker, Wallace Walker, her 3 sons David and Donald Pierce, Steven Pierce, grandsons Brett Hayes and Ian Pierce.
Calling Hours will be held at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney on Saturday, July 25 from 6-8 pm. The Family will have a private burial at a later date.
