I came across Fred's obituary recently. As a young man, I worked for Fred Riesen in 1979, in Tool Control.
Fred was a mentor, instilling in me a strong work ethic and professionalism.
I look back at my time at Bendix with fondness. I will always treasure the memories of working with Fred, Norm, Janice and Kathleen.

My sincere condolences to the Riesen family on the passing of "Uncle Freddie", my Godfather. For many, many years Thanksgiving did not "officially" begin until Aunt Millie and Uncle Freddie arrived to our home along the "good roads" he would always say. Uncle Freddie was a big man in his community but he always had time to offer a kind word to me and my siblings and even taught me how to play dominos one summer. Over time, we all grew up, had families and started our own Thanksgiving traditions but not a Thanksgiving goes by when I don't think of the generous and kind spirits of both Uncle Freddie and Aunt Millie. Dear Helen, Hermie, Ernie and Richard, Sorry to hear about the loss of your brother, Fred. He is now at peace and with his beloved Millie. He was a good man and lived a good life. He will be missed by all who knew him. Besides knowing him as your brother I also knew him from working at Bendix ( now Amphenol) where I worked for only 5 1/2 years but my husband Gerry, worked for 36 years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

it is with a heavy heart and one of compassion that i want to convey to Judy and family, my deepest thoughts and prayers for them. Your loss is also felt by many that knew your dad. I remember him as my oldest brother who bought my first suit and top hat. He will always be remembered for his thoughtfulness and kindness.
Judy, you had that special father daughter relationship that everyone would desire to have but few who find it. yours was a deep love for each other and i must say that you Judy will carry on the the traditions and characteristics of your beloved father.
May the Lord give you comfort and peace that we as finite humans can't give you at this time.
in times such as this i have found special meaning in a verse from Isaiah 41:10, from God's Holy Word. may you find that peace it can give you.

Judy, I am so very sorry to hear of your father passing. So soon after your Mom. I remember all the great times I had when I would come over to your house, which was right across the street from mine. Your Mom & Dad were the greatest. They are together once again in Heaven.
