I served with Chris in 2/8 and deployed with him to Afghanistan. I did many combat patrols with Chris's squad. He was the constant professional, one of the few I would follow into a firefight. His unexpected death hit me hard. I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, James LaPorta, Former Sergeant
