My thoughts and prayers are with the Thomas family once again. Jack always had a smile and a "young lady" greeting for me. I missed seeing Dottie and him at the Masonville Memorial Day parade this year. It won't be the same without them sitting on the bench at the General Store. May happy memories carry you through the difficult days.

Dottie and Family,
Many years ago, I appointed Jack to the Delaware County IDA board. I wish to thank Jack and all of you for his service to the people of Delaware County as a member. I would also like to thank Jack and all of you for his service to Delaware County and Town of
Masonville as a long standing Supervisor. Finally, I would like to thank Jack and all of you for his service to our country in Korea. I know he suffered from that for many years and I frankly never took the time to thank him for that, so I would like to do that now.
Dottie, I know well that community service can often be difficult for a spouse. Jack had a long and outstanding career in public service and I thank you for your understanding. Jack's passing is indeed a major loss for all of you, but it is also a large loss to all residents of the Delaware County community. Please accept my condolences.
Jim Thomson
Chairman, Delaware County IDA

To the Thomas family : I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I will never forget that smile and his quick wit and his passion for life. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support for my family as I was growing up in Sidney. Many people will never know of your generosity in helping my family. But, it will never be forgotten by me. Thank you all and may God bless you all during this difficult time. Jack was a good man and hold on to those precious memories.

Mr. Thomas was a true pillar of his communities- Masonville and Sidney - even beyond his active business and political life. What a great example for others.
I will forever remember him calling me "young man" each time our paths crossed. Now that may have been because he couldn't recall which Davie brother I was or not, but it always made me feel good.
Strong family bonds are a blessing to have at this time...may you be there for each other and know Mr. Thomas (can't call him Jack) was well-respected and well-loved.

It has been years since I saw my Uncle Jack, but love doesn't have to be when you see someone. It is the special memories and knowing that family is always there. I keep hearing his voice saying to me on our last phone call: I'm so happy you called me,I love you."
I know that Uncle Jack is in heaven with his brothers my dad- Ed and Uncle Bob having a great time catching up with grandma and grandpa.
Love to the Thomas Family.

It is with great sadness in finding out today of Jack Thomas's passing. Jack was a school board member at Sidney during some of my tenure as a teacher at Sidney Central School. Jack's tremendous work ethic and sensitivity for others allowed him to serve his children as a dynamic role model (His son Bill not only purchased his father's business, but followed Jack's passion for making sure the school district was student centered). Jack's pride of family was certainly justified and in his passing we all are certain that Sidney and Delaware County were better off as a result of him calling this area his home. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family!!
