Dear Trudy and Joe, Ricky and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Jesse and I are truly saddened by the news about Johnny Joe. Our sons played little league together and Jesse Baker was my son who went to School with Ricky. They were all very good friends and Jesse used to stay overnite at your home in So. Montrose. I just wanted you to know that we were thinking about you and your family. God Bless!

To John's wife, children, brother, and parents,
Having moved from Montrose, we still subscribe to the "Independent", and was shocked to read of John's
passing. Having been his 2nd grade teacher I have only wonderful memories of him. He was so polite, joyful, hard working. Just such a pleasure to have in the classroom! So glad he was able to enjoy his passion of golf. So sorry the family has had to go through so much with his illness and now his death. But trust God will be your comfort and will fill your heart's with many wonderful memories. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Very sincerely,
Carol Major

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, Rick and Family,
I want to offer my sincerest condolences to you at this difficult time. I, as well as Courtney and my parents, remember Johnny Joe as a very special young man who was talented, intelligent, handsome and considerate.

Dear Jill and those who were close to John,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. John will be greatly missed! I have many great memories that I will never forget. Although he may have been on my case or picking on me most of the time, he also taught me a lot and always made me laugh. Our last talk meant a lot to me and I feel so very lucky to have known him! He was a fun, loving and outgoing guy! I will always remember his laugh that went along with his nice smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you and may you find peace in his memory. I send you healing prayers and comforting hugs with deepest sympathy.

Jill, while I never knew your husband, I can recall the challenges you faced while helping get us ready (at Sidney Printing) for our Sports Hall of Fame event last September.
Please accept my sympathies for your loss. As I've seen from the other posts, your husband was a good man and a kind soul. May you find strength from the loving words you read and hear in the coming days.

Thank you so much for loving my mother with all you had and making her the happiest I have ever seen her. You were an amazing husband to mom, father to me, Keli, Lucas and Tyler, and grandfather to Amiah, Rayla, and Derrick. I laugh everytime I think about you chasing the kids through the house and yelling at me to stop yelling at them while they were playing WAY too loud (mostly with your encouragement while chasing them and making them do things to get in trouble) and mom saying "John, come on!" while you tried so hard to look innocent while saying "what? I'm not doing anything it's the kids!". The girls already miss you like crazy even though Rayla insists that you're ok because you're with Jesus and that has to be fun! I can't express all the you ment to me, to my kids, and to my momma. Please watch over her because she needs you so much right now. I will forever love you and miss you.

My childhood buddy and life long friend. I last saw you in Masonville at Hardwood Hills and you were doing what you loved to do. You were so happy. Oh those lazy summer days of endless hours of basketball in your garage. Little League baseball, (you never could beat the Lions)!! Playing the Trumpet together and singing in the Cherub choir at Church each Sunday morning. You will always be a part of me. I will miss you very much. Your name was John, but you will always be "JohnnyJoe" to me and those closest to you. I love you my brother and will miss you dearly. I am a better person having known you. Mr and Mrs Robertson, Rick and Jill, we are so sorry for your loss....

I have only known John for 3 years and had the privledge of golfing with John in a tournament, getting golf tips from John while he was working, etc. John did his job well and was very proud of the golf course and felt honored to work at Hardwood Hills G.C. and for Dale Wagner. John treated me like royalty everytime I golfed at Hardwood Hills and John wanted to make sure the course was in the best shape possible when I golfed there. John loved my son-in-law Mike and my daughter Caitlin. It was a honor and pleasure to have known John. Although many tears will be shed for the loss of a decent Human Being, John's Spirit will always be at Hardwood Hills Golf Course. Our thoughts and prayers to Jill and John's immediate and extended families. Rest in peace my friend. The Esworthy Family

Dear Jill,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family in your time of loss. We know how much you loved John just by the way you spoke of him and with the loving care that you provided during his illness. You are the true meaning of a loving spouse. While I only had the pleasure to be with John on just a few occasions, I found him to be a warm a gentle person, who I very much would liked to have played a game of golf with and drank a beer, although, I am sure he would have been bored with my play skills. God works in ways that we will never truly understand and this is one of those times. However, we must believe that John is with God and will be looking down and smiling upon his family to keep them happy and safe. Mourn John's passing for as long as you need, but mostly celebrate his life and the time he shared with you, as his loving wife. Our condolences to John's mother and father and the entire family. God Bless you all.
With Love, the Gough Family.
