So sorry for your loss. Hanna was a very special lady!
I always felt like she was our neighborhood watch. If I was alone at night in my house, it was always a comfort to see Hanna's lights on, too. She was a kind soul to everyone.

Dave,
Our prayers are with you and your family in this time of great loss. Your mom was a great lady and I always enjoyed her stories of the "old" neighborhood. Her smile and positive nature reflected her tremendous faith in God and she will always be remembered to us as a great neighbor and friend.

David and family,
My deepest wishes of condolence and prayers to you all on Hannah's passing to the fullness of life. My own Mom Jeanne adds her own prayers and good thoughts as well. May Hannah know the abiding peace and loving care of the One to whom her own life gave such profound and quiet witness.
My own childhood memories of growing up next door to you are marked by gratitude for the extended sense of family that that neighborhood shared. Such a big part of that experience can be attributed to Hannah's making us all feel at home regardless of the mischief we were up to or even contemplating. Somehow she always knew. Her love of the garden and animals unknowingly contributed early on to what would become my own embrace of the Franciscan appreciation of God's created world. Being included in the Scanlon family walks after dinner is an especially treasured memory.
God bless and keep you always and thank you for sharing the precious gift of your Mom with us all. Danny

Bonnie & David & family:
I am so very sorry for your loss. I loved Hannah and will dearly miss her. The neighborhood was never the same after she moved. I used to love to see her with tina walking down the street; and every day waving to me as she rode by in the meals van.

I'm so sorry for your loss, David and family. Not to be funny, but with her sense of humor, She must have ran out of pets! Once she had just gotten a new kitten when we went to see her when my mom passed away. She said she couldn't die because now she had another animal she had to take care of. She was my moms best friend and the person I so looked up to. Always smiling and always happy, no matter what obstacles she had to face!
I will always remember my back door neighbor, mother of my friends, Barbara and David. I will always remember her beautiful gardens and the huge violets she grew.
RIiP mrs Scanlon.

I have many memories of Mrs. Scanlon from my growing up years. The neighborhood kids had quite a few mothers to watch over us...my mother, Louise Gleason, Jeanne Nelson, and Hanna Scanlon. Mrs. Scanlon always had a smile to give us, no matter what we were up to, or who was squabbling with who. She took everything in her stride. I remember the funerals for many critters in the Scanlon's side yard, officiated by Danny Nelson. Even in later years, when I saw her in the store, she always remembered who I was, and I'd get one more of her smiles.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, David and family. She led a long and full life.
