Obituary of Robert A. Bunt

Robert A. Bunt Afton, NY Robert A. Bunt, 94, of Afton, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City. He was born on April 7, 1920 in Greene, NY, son of the late Howard and Minnie (Barton) Bunt. On June 26, 1941, he was married to Priscilla Terry; they shared 73 years of happiness and marriage together. Robert was a drill press operator and tool crib attendant at Bendix Corp. in Sidney, retiring in 1982. He was an avid gardener, tending both flowers and vegetables. He enjoyed reading and traveling with Priscilla. He was a member of the Afton Fire Department and the Sidney Elks Lodge 2175. He is survived by: his wife, Priscilla Bunt of Afton; daughter, Helen Bunt of Canton, NY; son, Howard and Jennifer Bunt of Baldwinsville, NY; 2 grandchildren: Stacey and Karl Bancker of Phoenix, NY and Nicole and Brian Giczkowski of San Diego, CA; and 3 great-grandchildren: Cole and Emma Giczkowski and Robert Kash Bancker. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Ray and Everett Bunt. Friends may call from 1:00-2:00pm on Friday, March 13, 2015 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery, Afton.
