Obituary of James E. Yager

James E. Yager Bainbridge, NY James E. Yager, age 70, passed away on January 21, 2015 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY. James was born on July 23, 1944 in Oneonta, New York to late Clifford E. and Elsie Hungerford Yager. Jim served his country in the United States Navy and was married to Barbara Lambert in 1995. He retired as a machinist from Amphenol Corporation in Sidney, NY. Jim was always happiest when he was working in his yard and he loved eagles. In addition to his wife, James is survived by a son, Robert Yager of Tennessee; two grandsons, Andrew and Alexander Yager of Tennessee; four brothers, Cliff (Irene) Yager of Unadilla, Fran (Yvonne) Yager of Unadilla, Wayne (Dottie) Yager of Esperance, NY, and Darrell (Joan) Yager of Union Springs, a special niece, Silvia (Allen) Yager of Schenectady; and numerous nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his sister, Betty. The family would like to express their special thanks to caregivers Travis Hodgdon, Rev. Betsy Jay, Dr. Harish Pulluru, and Dr. Kai Mebust of Bassett Hospital. Friends may call from 2 – 4 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney, NY.
