Rodney,
Sorry to hear about your father. He was always very gracious and welcoming to me during my visits to your home.(remember how amused he became when he saw me wrapped up like a mummy, sleeping on an army cot in your basement that winter in 1984) My father also passed away in 2014, so I know the sense of such a profound loss never lessens.
Take care my Air Force buddy.
Sincerely , David

The amount of volunteer hours Ed put in is impossible to measure. So is the effect and influence he had on events like the Canoe Regatta, His church, his family and his friends.
Simply put, that mark is indelible, and it shows us all how we should be givers.
Thank you, Ed, for all you gave.

What can I say about Ed? Do you have a few hours? He was an amazing man who taught me a lot about life through his words. I've never met a man so kind and willing to help others. There aren't too many people who compare to him.
Even after Ed "retired" from his work at the General Clinton Canoe Regatta," he continued to help me and WCDO with our set-up. Not a lot of people know that he would shut down his store for a week before the regatta to set up the park. He gave up a week's worth of sales to help the regatta. I can go on and on and on.
I guess I'll just finish by saying that I have the ultimate respect for Ed and I could only aspire to be like him in the time I have left on this earth.
Thank you Ed, from the bottom of my heart.
