To to Hammond Family-
My parents, the DiNoto's and I were very sorry to hear of Mom's death so soon after her diagnosis. We got to speak quite a bit when I saw her around town and made it a point to say hello.
She was so proud of all of you and loved you all very much.
Please know we are thinking about all of you, sorry we couldn't be there today.

I didn't know Helen well, but I waited on her for many years at the library in Sidney before my retirement in 2002. I enjoyed her quiet but positive manner. I was happy to note in her obituary that the library was one of her favorite organizations. Probably 15 years ago or so we were talking about Christmas music and I mentioned the Christmas song "I Wonder As I Wander,"a favorite of mine. I said I wished I had a copy to play at a Christmas Eve service. She came in the next week with a copy for me, which I have enjoyed every year since and will treasure now that she is gone.
My husband and I shared a table with her in October at her church supper in Bainbridge and I'm so glad I went over to talk to her and remind her of her gift. I didn't know then she was ill and perhaps she didn't yet know either. My deep sympathy to her family.

Helen was the sweetest person. I met her when I worked for Chris Bickos for 33 years & after leaving
there in 2006 I would run into Helen in the grocery
or @ Butlers. I started working @ Butts Concrete in
Masonville in 2006 & just recently I was told there
was someone on the phone that would like to talk to
me - I was so surprised & pleased to hear that voice
as I just loved her - one of the happiest people I
have ever met & I know I will see her again someday.
We know where she is - God's peace to all her family
and loved ones.

Dear Becky, Marianna and Suzanne,
I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. It comes two years to the day we lost our mother. Your Mom was such a talented and warm person and I have many fond memories of the times our families spent together. I still remember the Christmas gifts she sewed for me and how thrilled I was to receive them. Please know we Wrigleys are thinking of all of you.
With love,
Brenda
