Obituary of James LeRoy Weeden

James L. Weeden Sidney, NY James L. Weeden, 87 of Sidney passed away Monday November 24, 2014 at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford. He was born May 27, 1927, son of the late Elvere and Mattie (Alcott) Weeden in Sidney. Jim served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was awarded the Army of occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal and was honorably discharged in 1946. Jim started as a salesman for Norwich Pharmaceutical and later moved to Oakland Ca. There he was a salesman for Kaiser Permante, upon retirement he moved back to the Sidney area. He was a past member of the Shriners and Masons. James is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.
