My deepest condolences to the immediate and extended families of Mr. Floyd Prouty. I did not know him very well, but what I do remember is him being a jolly and God-fearing man. May God bless you all and comfort you in this time of bereavement. Revelation 14:13.

What a privilege to have been part of Floyd's life! Our families' history together will bring many smiles to our faces as we adjust to our lives without Floyd on Earth!! How very thankful we are that we are saying, "Good-bye for now, Dear Floyd." and not forever. We will meet again in Heaven at the feet of our Savior. In the meantime, God bless your family.
Please know that you are loved and are being prayed for as you adjust. Much Love to You All!! Jeff and Mary Diemer

Dave, Andy, Martha and Daniel, I am so saddened by your Dad's passing. From my childhood, I had fond memories of him , but as an adult I was lucky enough to serve on the school board with him where a wonderful friendship was born. I was sad to see him go from the board and so enjoyed seeing him from time to time about town. He had so much to offer so many and am truly blessed to have had the opportunity to be a recipient of his teachings twice in my life! He will be missed by many whose lives were also enhanced by his teachings. With sympathy, Jeanne Laird Shields

B-G and Sidney share so many similarities into what made terrific and lasting childhood memories from school. Great sports teams, award-winning bands, outstanding teachers and...unforgettable elementary principals.
In Sidney at Pearl Street, it was Howard Dunbar. At Greenlawn in Bainbridge it was Floyd Prouty. Both set an example of how to be an imposing figure who really cared about kids, their education, and their behavior.
Long careers in one location for any administrator is exceedingly rare today. But not for those of Mr Prouty's generation. Thousands of B-G kids will always remember him fondly. As it should be.
My sympathies to the family and the B-G community. His was a life well-lived.

My deepest sympathies to all. I remember Mr. Prouty not only from my time at Greenlawn Elementary, but also through my parents who worked with him for many years. He was a wonderful principal and more importantly person. God needed an angel to teach the children in Heaven and specifically chose the right man for the job. May you all find peace and comfort in the beautiful memories of time spent together. God bless all of you.

On behalf of the Bainbridge-Guilford Teachers' Association, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Prouty family. Floyd was a long time administrator in the district, and Carolyn a long time teacher at B-G. May they rest in peace, and may the happy memories be cherished by all. I am honored to have had the pleasure of knowing them both.

I knew and respected Mr. Prouty most of my life and had the pleasure of saying hello and shaking his hand on October 26th, 2014 at the Baptist Church in Sidney, just a few weeks ago. He was certainly a good example and was always quick to share a friendly smile. His memories will endure. My deepest condolences to the family and friends.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Prouty. I knew him as my elementary principle and when I remember him from that time, he scared everyone because he was such a big man, but then I got to know him after I graduated and went to work at the school during the summer rec program. He was such a nice person and I have great memories of that time. May your memories bring you peace in the days ahead, and I know that he is now resting comfortably in the arms of the Lord and with his wife.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Prouty. He was my elementary school principal, and he always scared me because he was so tall (height has its advantage). He always said hello with a smile. May happy memories of your dad help you through this difficult time. Again, my condolences.
