Dear Family
I worked with Dorothy at the NYS Division of Human Rights. When I began as a new employee in 1981, Dorothy was very warm and welcoming and a valuable resource to me. We went through the fire in the State Office Building and our "temporary" office in the old Columbus School. It was an adventure we all shared together!
After Dorothy retired from the Division, we remained in touch, and met for lunch a few times in Bainbridge. A few years ago, I stopped receiving her yearly Christmas greetings, and often wondered what had happened. I assumed that she was with one of her children.
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a very independent and innovative woman and I am certain she was a very big influence on all of your lives.
I remember her with great fondness.
Sincerely,
Gail Lauderbach

To Barb, Linda, Gary, Jim and Kevin-I've known your Mom all my life in Unadilla. We were young mothers and active WSCS/UMW members together. Haven't seen much of each other lately but she is still like a sister to me. Our prayers go to you with love. Ellen and Lewis Sturgess
