Lawrence E. Rowe, Sr.
Bainbridge, NY
Lawrence E. Rowe Sr., 83, of Bainbridge passed away peacefully Sunday July 27th at home with his loving family at his side. Lawrence was born January 7th, 1931 to the late Ward and Jennie Rowe of Harpursville.
Lawrence "Bunny" served in the US Army from 1950-1953. He married Beverly Smith July 24, 1955 and
was employed at Amphenol in Sidney for 41 years. Bunny was a longtime member of the Bainbridge Sportsman Club and a member of the Sidney American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and in his later years he enjoyed his "daily tours" to visit with friends.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Beverly. Four sons: Lawrence, Jr. and Barbara, of Unadilla, Dennis of Greene, Daniel and Cheryl Wood of Bainbridge and Alan and Michele of Masonville.
Grandchildren: Jennifer, Justin, Jeffrey, Brock, Caleb, Danielle, Brandon and Nicole and four great grand children. Also, two brothers, Bernie and Frannie Rowe of Kirkwood, Homer Rowe of Harpursville, two sisters: Grace Taylor of Binghamton and Eunice and Clifford Huyck of Harpursville, and sister-in-law, Ester of Afton as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by brothers Carl and Robert.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday August, 2nd at 1:00 pm in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lawrence's name to Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County 21 Hayes St. Norwich, NY 13815.
