Unfortunately I did not know my grandfather very well. I met him for the 1st time when I was 20. But I got to know him a little better when I had joined the Marines. He had wrote me when I was in boot camp. My mother had told me that he had put my boot camp picture next to his Marine Corps picture on his mantle. :) Even though we did not know each other that well, that told me he was proud. We both have the Corps in common. :)
