LaVerne Colvin 80, of Afton passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Absolut Care Facility in Endicott. He was born February, 16, 1934 son of the late Lloyd and Bessie (Blower) Colvin in Morrisville. Verne started out a dairy farmer and later on worked as an antique dealer.
He is survived by:
Wife – Iola (Mulwane) Colvin, Afton
Sister, Betty Gordon, Pulaski
2 Grandchildren – Shannon and Robert Colvin
2 Great Grandchildren – Damien Colvin and Christian Decker
Nieces, Nephews and cousins
Verne was also predeceased by Son, Gary Colvin, a brother and 2 sisters.
Friends may call Monday July 14, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the North Afton United Methodist Church; a memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Benjamin Shaw officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the family. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com
