Obituary of Mary E. Irwin

Mary E. Irwin Sidney Center, NY Mary E. Irwin, 87, of Sidney Center, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2014. She was born August 7, 1926, daughter of the late Arnold and Lena Allees in Liberty, NY. On May 11, 1946, she was married to Virgil Irwin in Liberty. He predeceased her on March 17, 1987. Mary was a homemaker, who enjoyed crafts, as well as reading and crocheting. She also worked in the cafeteria at the Sidney Center Elementary School for a short time. She was a member of the Sidney Center Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. Mary is survived by: Three daughters: Terry Lambrecht of Trout Creek, Barbara and Roger Angell of Oneonta and Jill and Todd Franklin of Unadilla 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren Sister, Julia Irwin Brother, Edward Allees As well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her son-in-law, Terry J. Lambrecht. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in the spring in Highland Cemetery, Sidney Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sidney Center Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
