I have fond memories of visits at the Redmond house where Mrs Redmond would always have a cheerful greeting, and spend time to visit and hear about all the news of what was happening in my life. She was a wonderful role model as a wife, mother, and woman.

Blair and I always enjoyed our visits with Bert and Fran. They had such a lovely home and always made us feel welcome. Her ambitiousness always amazed me and I think she could still out walk me right up until a few months ago! They will both be missed tremendously.

I could write endlessly about the time spent with Mrs Redmond and her family. I know one of the greatest gifts in my life is being a part of the Redmond family. She was a wonderful listener, caring and very thoughtful. I have " Bert's Punch" and her words of wisdom to keep with me forever.

Bert was the first one given credit by her husband for everything wonderful that came to the family. As it should have been! No one wanted more for others and less for herself than Bert. Nothing meant more to me than when she beamed about my (then) young daughter fitting right I with her and her friends who gathered next door at Marge Almy's. I extend sympathies to Carole and the family on behalf of the entire Davie family.

Carole,
I was sorry to read about your mom in today's paper. It is difficult to lose a parent, especially when this loss comes so close to the death of your dad. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

It is with sadness that we found out of Bert's passing, especially so soon after Red's. They have had a tremendous impact on the lives of not just their children but the many "children" of Sidney over the many years of commitment to youth. We know the strength of the extended Redmond clan will allow them to reflect happily on Bert's life in this time of grief. Unfortunately we are out of the area on this day of rememberance as we would have liked to have shared our condolences personally.

I can't believe that the family is having to go through another departure in such short time of your Dad. Your Mom was an exceptional woman, and your Dad loved her so much. I know they are rejoicing on being with each other with no more pain. And I know that both will be looking down and still guiding you in your life decisions. My best for you all.

To all of the Redmond Families, So sorry to hear about the loss of "Bert". She was a great person. She was my coach in Sidney High School and after I graduated I bowled for a couple of years with her. I still have a picture of her and Flosie Uhlig with a couple of my friends and myself when we went to a bowling tournament.
I had also seen your father several years ago with his duck decoys. They were so lucky to have had so many years together. I will remember them both with fond memories. Now they are together again. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
