Obituary of Barbara R. Felske

Barbara Robbins Felske Bainbridge, NY Barbara Felske, of Bainbridge, died peacefully on April 4, 2012, at the A.O. Fox Nursing Facility in Oneonta N.Y., following a brief illness. Barbara was born in Bainbridge on October 26, 1922, the youngest daughter of Fred and Maude Robbins of Bainbridge. She grew up on the family farm. Barbara enjoyed teaching Sunday school at the First Baptist Church in Bainbridge. Later, after spending many years living in Florida, she returned to the area and worked part-time at The Hospital in Sidney, retiring after 15 years. Above all else Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara was predeceased by her niece, Lois Hoyt; parents, Fred and Maude Robbins; and her sister Irene Hoyt, respectively. She is survived by her children: Roger Felske, Rinda Felske Brown and Robin (William) Walker; Grandchildren: Jacqueline (Jeffrey) Glenn, R. Lawrence (Colleen) Felske, Shannon Williams, Michelle (John) McCoy, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Vella, Jamie Walker and Jonathan Walker; Great-grandchildren: Carly and Tyler Glenn, Hannah and Matthew Felske and Lenin and Halo Gutterman; as well as her niece, Doris White; and several Great-nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, April 14th from 2:00-4:00 pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney, NY 13838. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barbara's name may be directed to Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Drive Oneonta, NY 13820.
