Vi and Don were among the first to welcome us to the church when John was interviewing with the Pastor Parish Committee in 1976. One time, later, when we were getting ready to travel with our 3 small children, they invited us to breakfast on our travel day to make life easier for us. We also remember Vi's beautiful chancel decorations at Christmas time. Vi & Don had a talent for hospitality, and they helped make our years at Bainbridge UMC a wonderful time for us and for our children.

My dear Mom, I will never for get Dec. 6 1964 when you came to pick me up and take me to join your family and the letter I got that Christmas saying that I could be a part of your family. You, Dad and the girls were the best Xmas present I could ever. get. I love you all so very much and you will all have a very special place in my heart. You always made me feel like family and you are my family. I love you all so very much. It is so hard for me to be so far at this time but I'll be there in spirit. I love you with all my heart and soul, your daughter Maury

We've sent our prayers from afar but have always held Grandma near in our hearts. Although we will miss seeing her smile & hearing her laugh, we take great comfort in knowing that we will see her and Grandmpa again one fine day. Until then, we send our love upward knowing that she is wrapped in the arms of our Lord and is watching over us each and every day and is helping to prepare a place, with God's loving hand, for each of us when we leave our temporary home here and join them there in Heaven.
Much Love, Bruce, Sherry, Corey & Christy

I worked in the Materials Lab with Vi for several years and am saddened by her passing. She was very nice to work with and to be around and I spent time with her and Don outside work as well during those years. My prayers are with her entire family as you bid Vi goodbye.

Eight years ago today, we said goodbye for now to Grandpa very much like we just did with Grandma. I'm so lucky to have such incredible memories of both of you and am so sad for myself but think of how much fun you must be having being together again. You are in my thoughts every day and I love you both so very much.
