I shall never forget the kindness of both Ruth and Rolland as I was growing up and later in life. Bainbridge was blessed with such wonderful individuals. May they now rest in peace together.

Ruth touched my heart in a number of ways over the past five years. With the many visits, Ruth and I would often enjoy a sweet treat along with tea. When the weather was warm enough, she would enjoy sitting outside and watch the birds and squirrals. Ruth taught me to play dominos and defeat me each and every time. Until her eye sight started to go, she and I would put puppy and kitty puzzles together and even when it began to get harder for her to see, she still tried. Ruth was very much loved and cared for by many of the locals. Mrs. Baker would often bring over cookies and Mrs Gifford would stop in for a visit every so often. Her neighbors would bring over sweets and dinner and all of the care givers loved Ruth. I loved Ruth as I would anyone in my family. her passing left an emptiness in my life but the memories will always stay with me. I am so grateful for the time I have had with her.

People come into your life for a reason. Knowing Ruth and Rolland added such depth to the life of my husband and me. Spending these last years with Ruth has been a gift I shall cherish always. She will be always in my heart and thoughts

Ruth will always be in my heart. I enjoyed our talks and time together. In warm weather she loved to sit out on her front porch and enjoyed when friends, neighbors and family came to visit. She looked forward to Vi's calls too. She will truely be missed.

Ruth and Rolland were such an important part of my life for the 7+ years I was pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Bainbridge. Ruth was clerk of session when I arrived; Rolland had been on the Pastor Nominating Committee. Ruth gave me lots of good advice and also pastored the pastor when I needed it. We could even disagree about some things and still remain close. I remember fondly gatherings at the Truman house and on Evans St. May Ruth and Rolland find peace and joy in the arms of God.

I find it interesting that within a couple short months, both of the Sidney High School Guidance counselors passed away - Bob Rowlands being the other. No doubt the two are now together organizing something for the betterment of the rest. A gracious lady and class act. My sympathies to the family.

I remember. I was a bit rebellious in school and didn't show much respect to the teachers, except Miss Peck. She was a sweet and understanding, after so many years I still have these wonderful memories.

I remember being summoned to Mrs. Peckham's office in 1960 because I was late in submitting college applications.
In her special way, she got me moving. She impacted my college choice, which impacted my career and where I met my future wife. This led to a family, children and now grandchildren.
Thanks for a great life Mrs. Peckham. I have always treasured that day in your office.
May you be relishing eternity, and may your family and friends be celebrating your long and giving life.

Mrs. Peckam probably wouldn't have been surprised that I'm one of the last to add his comments to this list. End of the alphabet, as well as pretty much last minute in most of what I do... I'd like to express my sincere appreciation for all the help she extended to me, as well as countless other Sidney High School students while in the Guidance Office there. Also, I wish to confirm my deepest condolences to Mrs. Peckham's family and friends.
