I was Ashley's 6th grade teacher at GMU. I remember Ashley as an enthusiastic girl who was full of life. She was very caring, and had a deep love for young children with whom she was magical. I think of her often, and grieve along with her family. I truly believe that this is a tragic loss for all the children she would have touched. She will be missed.

I went to school with Ashley, except i was in a higher grade. She was a great person to know and she was a great friend to everyone. She loved the resourse room teachers at GMU.. even if they did have to fight with her to do her work at times...She had a great future..and its unfortunate that she did pass away..she will be missed greatly and she is up in heaven looking down at all of us.. RIP!!

It's so terribly hard to believe that someone so full of life and love can be gone, it just seems impossible. Ashley you were truly loved and will be deeply missed. My favorite line of yours was "okay Skiff, give it to me", with your pencil ready, as if after that I was suppose to impart some great history wisdom. I'm so grateful that I got to talk with you when you called Clark the other week. I'm so thankful I got the chance to tell you I loved you, one last time. I will forever remember you, as so many will. Rest in peace sweetheart. Love, Skiff.

I don't know Ashley, but I do know what it is to lose a child. My own daughter died in a car accident at the age of 19. I can say from personal experience there is no greater loss. You have a very difficult road ahead, and I hope you will find the support and comfort you need in the company of good friends and family. I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

Hey Ashley... I want you to know that you were loved by so many. I hope you knew that. Despite all the hard times, you were a special, one of a kind, young woman. I hope you are at peace. Your beautiful smile and caring ways will be missed by all. I remember the first faces that I saw when I came back to BOCES after my surgery.. you and Krystal. You both gave me a hug and made me feel like I was truly missed. Now I want you to know that you too will be missed ... Luv Ya Kid!

Ashley was in my class at BOCES. Her high energy certainly kept things interesting! I know she had aspirations to do great things. She befriended many and will not easily be forgotten.
May heaven hold you in safety and peace...

I went to high school with Ashley. She was one of the most energetic and full of life people and she will be greatly missed. Unfortunately I didn't know her very well but I was close to her sister, Michele. Rest in Peace Ashley! Be strong Michele! I have never experienced the pain of losing a sibling, so I could never even imagine your pain, but I wish you and your family the strength to make it through!

So many of my memories of Ashley are when she was a little girl with the blondest hair and great big beautiful blue eyes...first I'd hear a squeal and then "Aunt Terri...." and I'd know I better plant my feet because I was about to get a great big "Ashley" bear hug. When Ashley hugged you, you knew you were hugged. The few times I seen her as a teenager, she was growing into a beautiful young woman, but to me she was and will always be that beautiul cherub faced little girl that gave great big "Ashley" bear hugs. We will all miss those hugs and you will be in our hearts forever. You have your wings now Ashley, soar high sweet girl.

Dear Sweet Ashley. I hope you can look down and see and know how much you were loved, and how much light, laughter and joy your presence brought into the world. I was your 7th grade English teacher and will always remember you as someone who was so intensely real--you didn't pretend with anyone. What you saw was what you got. A prankster with a buoant sense of humor, you were also true and loyal to those you loved and called friends. I pray your spirit and memories will stay with those who knew you. I will miss you, my dear.
