I have so many memories of Bobby. We first met in 3rd grade, and he had a cast on his arm. Long story! The Afton school band, with Bobby playing trumpet, off to the side on Memorial day to play Taps. Brief contacts over the years, alway had such warmth and gentleness. He was always, alway, a good and decent man, reaching out a hand whenever it was needed, and without complaint or reservation. This world is poorer with his passing. He will always live in my memory, with that golden curl on his forehead, and his beautiful smile on his lips. Rest in peace old friend.
