Jim was such a joy to know over the past few years. He enjoyed his "I'm not perfect but damn close" hat. He may have been 90, but he still had a zest for life right up til the end. I still remember him saying that he had trouble once he got old, and that was around age 92! May your family memories keep him with you forever. Know that he is at peace and walking tall again.

We enjoyed knowing Flo & Jim through the years. They lived next door to my Aunt & Uncle....Edie & Robert Loller. We shared a love of dogs with Flo & Jim, and they always welcomed us and our dogs in their home. My parents, and my husband & I continued to visit them after Edie moved to Rochester. They were also very thoughtful of my parents. We always enjoyed hearing Jim's war stories, and talking about camping, but most of all dogs! Flo was so sweet and thoughtful. Jim even taught us how to use our new digital camera years ago! He took beautiful photos of our dogs. They were both special to us and we will miss them.

Thank you Fay for calling my brother Tom to let us know of Jim's passing.
How does one sum up a life time of great memories. Jim and Flo were our nextdoor neighbors for over 55 years.
Memories of our time together could go on forever. The camping trips to Black Lake,Jim always cooked breakfast, rides on Jim's boat at Cooperstown Lake, dinner at Little Venice in Binghamton, sharing picnics in the back yard, relaxing at our fireplace in the evenings, trips Flo and Jim, Mother and Dad took to NYC to see broadway plays. The list goes on.
Awsome neighbors, but much more than that, great friends and good people. I believe that Dr. Ted Elliott is the last resident of Prospect Drive to survive that wonderful era.
Flo and Jim always got a kick out of all the activites and antic's the kids on the street were involved in.....they were like second parents to us.
Jim was a no "fuss no muss" guy! He was so helpful to my dad as he was over six feet and dad was barely five seven....and riddled with arthritis...Jim would bing his strong study self over and help dad with many projects!
Sending the family my deepest sympathy, but remembering a great guy.
Love and Blessing,
Carol (Loller) Michalak Swenson
