Obituary of Pearl Pauline Vartanian

Pearl P. Vartanian Madison, CT Pearl Pauline Palmer Vartanian, 83, of Madison, CT, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. Pearl was born on December 9, 1927 in Masonville, NY, daughter of the late Ralph and Emily (Butts) Palmer. She was a 1946 graduate of Bainbridge High School and graduated from Delhi College in 1949. Pearl worked for various hospitals as a dietician. In 1949, she was married to Edwin Swart Vartanian and they raised 3 children together. Ed and Pearl have resided in the North Haven and Madison, CT area for the past 57 years. Pearl is survived by: Loving husband of 61 years, Edwin Swart Vartanian 2 Children: Son, Edwin James Vartanian and daughter, Joan Charise Taczli 8 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren Pearl was predeceased by a daughter, Ruth Elizabeth Vartanian. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 7:00-9:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Committal services will be held at a later date in Eastside Cemetery, Afton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pearl's name may be directed to the American Lung Association.
