Aunt Ruthie will always have a special place in my heart. I am sure she never realized how much I loved visiting her in Flushing. I will always remember sleeping on her pull out sofa and listnening to the planes leaving Laguardia, or watching the Mets on TV knowing I was so close to the stadium. I always felt at home there.

Kept her house very neat and clean, kept the family together, very loving but just don't mess with her cause she would let you know! She would help any body do anything and she believed in me. She was a beautiful lady and I loved her. Love Chuck.

Aunt Ruthie was never a physical Mom, but a Mother to so many of us Harnigs. She was there for everyone of us Nieces, Nephews and their Offspring as well. She was a constant friend to her siblings and a wonderful daughter.
I do also remember the "Lima Beans" and still like them. ;-)
I also remember her great love of decorating for every holiday and decorating in general. I'd like to believe she taught me well. ;-) Brother Chuck is right... She kept the family together. At one point or another she helped each one of us individually in her care.
I loved how she and Tim's Grandmother got along so well. I know she was greeted by loved ones that have gone before her... and now chatting up storm with Grandma Brotzman.
Thank You Aunt Ruthie from ALL the Brotzman's! You will be missed.

Aunt Ruthie was very special to me. I have lots of fond memories of spending time at Aunt Ruthie's house and hiding the toast she would make me eat every morning in my jacket pocket :) I will never forget the smell of pepper steak and watching TV with her every night during the week. She was a great lady and a big part of my childhood. Thank you for everything you did for me. May you rest in peace...
